Copal Amazonia — Protium heptaphyllum Breu Resin

Fresh, lightly lemony and piney, with a sweet tropical character. Copal Amazonia is a whole resin from the Protium heptaphyllum tree in Brazil.

Wild-harvested in Brazil

This resin is gathered by Kayapó people from old-growth trees in the Amazon. Its irregular pieces show the natural character of the whole resin.

How to gently heat breu resin

Place a small piece on a mica plate above incense charcoal. Start with a generous distance between the plate and charcoal, then gradually adjust closer to warm the resin without charring it. Use a heat-resistant bowl and surface, provide ventilation, and never leave hot charcoal or heated incense unattended.

Can also be placed directly on the charcoal, or used in an electric incense heater.

Origin: Brazil
Botanical name: Protium heptaphyllum
