Hawaiian Sandalwood Incense Powder — Santalum paniculatum
Sweet, smooth sandalwood powder from the Big Island of Hawaiʻi. This superfine Santalum paniculatum powder is suited to loose incense, personal blends, and making incense cones or sticks.
Fine powder for incense making
Enjoy the powder on its own, combine it with other aromatic materials, or use it as a base in your own incense recipes.
How to use sandalwood powder as incense
For gentle heating, place a small pinch on a mica plate, above an incense charcoal, beginning with a generous distance and adjusting gradually. You can also shape the powder into a small cone on a suitable heat-resistant holder, light the tip, then gently extinguish the flame so it smolders, like an incense cone with no binders. Use with ventilation and never leave hot charcoal or burning incense unattended.
